The link between Care and Criminal Justice
This workshop raises awareness of the complex relationship between the care system and the criminal justice system.
This link between care and criminal justice is explored by evaluating the independent review authored by the Prison Reform Trust (Laming, 2016).
The session examines the disproportionate overrepresentation of children looked after and care leavers in all aspects of the justice system.
The facilitator has lived experience and practice of working as a Child Looked After Specialist within the Youth Justice environment.
