Improving Practice With Custody and Resettlement Cases in Youth Justice

This training course is designed for Youth Justice professionals
working with cases that have been sentenced to custody.

Participants will increase their confidence in the following areas :

  • A brief overview of research into constructive resettlement and identity shift.
  • Encouraging young people to explore their beliefs and values.
  • Exercising discretion responsibly with case-management of custody and resettlement cases.
  • An overview of processes for key stages of the resettlement journey.
  • Exploring challenges and opportunities to achieve desistance and resettlement.
